I currently have two dachshunds. One of my earliest memories is of my grandparents’ dachshund, and I have now had six dachshunds in my life. They are a big reason I completed more than 212 hours of formal animal chiropractic training.
I have seen the role chiropractic care can play in addressing joint and spinal function in people, and I wanted to explore that same type of care for my own dogs. I feel responsible for their health and want them to live long, active, comfortable lives.
Animals deal with repetitive stress, slips, jumps, and everyday wear and tear just like people do. Sometimes joints stop moving the way they should, which may affect how they walk, play, rest, and compensate through the rest of their body.

Animal chiropractic care uses gentle, specific adjustments aimed at improving motion in the spine and joints. I take time to watch how each animal moves and tailor care to their individual needs. Nothing is forced.
And, just to be clear: this is not the dramatic “cranking” you may have seen online. Animal chiropractic care should be thoughtful, gentle, and specific.
I look at the whole animal, including their posture, movement, comfort, and the ways their body may be compensating. A joint that is not moving well may influence movement in more than just that one area.

Chiropractic care is not a replacement for veterinary care. Your veterinarian remains the appropriate provider for medical diagnosis, medication, illness, and emergencies.
Just as chiropractors focus on musculoskeletal and spinal function in people, I assess joint and movement restrictions in animals from a chiropractic perspective. My goal is to encourage healthy joint motion and address movement restrictions from a chiropractic perspective.
